About Raven
I am an enthusiastic, young graphic designer from the outskirts of Byron, Minnesota. I graduated in May of 2022 from UW-Stout, just across the river in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Stout provided me a holistic approach to design by building up foundational art skills and applying those to critical design thinking.
I chose Graphic Design after shadowing a local designer and finding that it was incredibly cool to make art work that was displayed for all to see and has a clear purpose!
Growing up I spent most of my time drawing, reading, exploring outside, riding horses and running with the dogs. I continue to practice most of these hobbies, as it keeps me fulfilled, inspired and ambitious.

I particularly enjoy managing my own projects and problem solving with motivated and enthusiastic small business owners to help their visions come to life. My approach is to provide the designed materials, from ideation to production, and help develop a strategy that best fits their needs and goals to grow their professionalism and brand recognition.
How do I stay informed on trends & find new ideas?
By reading design blogs and magazines like, Graphic Arts Today, Communication Arts Mag.
By visiting local art museums, shows and small business markets.
By keeping eyes, ears and mind open.
Thus far, projects have ranged from logos and branding to layout design for publication and websites, as well as exploration into the marketing strategy field. I would be happy to walk through the process of ideation on any of the projects I have shared.
