TRIBUTE
Tribute is an original concept for grief support and memorialization. The goal of Tribute is to have support throughout the grief process from professional resources, family, and friends - consolidated into one app.
I was hired to create a logo and color palette.
THE PROCESS
I came to the final design after researching common iconography related to keywords derived from the project goal. Words like grief, process, growth, memorialization...
The common denominator was upwards motion and flowing, light line work. The symbolism in the logo mark aims to represent the organic flow of life and collective upwards/forwards motion of growth - like Tribute's mission. The center shape vaguely imitates the form of a flame (memorialize) and the circular upwards motion I found common in icons of process. I added the leaf forms to provide more visual interest and balance, as well as, togetherness and growth. Paired with custom typography and color theory, we worked together to curate a logo that has a cohesive, soothing vibe.
